NBA veteran guard Avery Bradley plans to use the upcoming season with the Los Angeles Lakers to re-establish his dominance on the defensive side of the ball.

The 28-year-old has had an iffy time after leaving the Boston Celtics, spending brief stints with the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers, and most recently, the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizz waived the two-time All-Defensive guard in the offseason, prompting the Lakers to sign Bradley to a two-year deal worth nearly $10 million over the summer.

Per Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints, Bradley intends to focus on his perimeter defense this season for L.A.

Bradley's addition brings another veteran leadership into the Lakers' locker room. General manager Rob Pelinka acquired All-NBA power forward Anthony Davis prior to the 2019 NBA Draft, sending young players such as Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for “The Brow.”

The Lakers also signed free agents Danny Green, DeMarcus Cousins, Jared Dudley, Rajon Rondo and Dwight Howard, surrounding James with loaded veteran talent.

In his career, the 6-foot-2 Bradley has averaged 1.0 steals per game. Bradley put up 16.1 points a contest for the then-tanking Grizzlies in 14 games at the end of last season.

Before that, Bradley spent the first seven seasons of his professional career with the Celtics, where he was known as an astounding perimeter defender.
