Los Angeles Lakers newcomer Ben McLemore is already getting acclimated to his new teammates as he made his debut game for the team on Saturday night. After grabbing an impressive win against the Brooklyn Nets, the former Kansas standout claimed that the cohesion of the reigning champions was evident right from the get-go, per Ryan Ward.

Being in a team that has high expectations surrounding them may be new to McLemore, as he previously spent his first few years in the league with a handful of rebuilding teams. He began his career with the Sacramento Kings from 2013 to 2017 before he relocated to the Memphis Grizzlies where he stayed until 2018.

McLemore then found himself back on the Kings for a year and later signed with the Houston Rockets where he spent the past one and half seasons. Now finding himself in a championship-caliber squad like the Lakers, the 28-year-old swingman knows that he needs to exert more effort in order to provide quality minutes for the stacked team.

On Saturday night against the Nets, McLemore showed out when the team needed him the most as he notched 17 points on five of ten shooting from beyond the arc to go with a lone rebound through 22 minutes of action. His production was definitely valuable as the depleted Lakers were able to deal a huge upset to the Nets by way of a 126-101 victory.

Ben McLemore may have already had a good impression on his new team but his experience is expected to be even better when he gets to join forces with both LeBron James and Anthony Davis who are expected to finally return to action in their coming games.
