It's done. Anthony Davis is now a teammate of LeBron James with the Los Angeles Lakers. Several events led to this moment and, along the way, Bleacher Report's Game of Zones appear to have foreshadowed this blockbuster trade.

Lonzo Ball doing a Bran Stark only to be Jaime Lannister'ed by James is pretty accurate. Popular opinion suggests that James and Rich Paul had Davis in their sights for so long and Ball, who shouldn't have worn those Big Baller Brand boots in the first place, was one of the sacrificial lambs.

Ball will continue his development under the tutelage of Alvin Gentry and alongside Jrue Holiday, forming one of the more vaunted defensive backcourts in the NBA. Last season, the former UCLA guard averaged 9.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.

James will now have arguably his second-best teammate ever — behind Dwyane Wade — in Davis, forming a vaunted tandem on both ends of the floor. The expectation in Los Angeles only got bigger with Davis on their yard.

Furthermore, as the Lakers got their wish in the Unibrow, they also retained their most-prized young asset in Kyle Kuzma. The team can still afford another All-Star in free agency and rumor has it that Kemba Walker could be that guy.
