After being selected 27th overall in this year's draft, Kyle Kuzma has shown the Los Angeles Lakers what he can bring to the table. He had a standout performance in the Las Vegas Summer League, eventually winning the championship MVP honors along the way.

Now, it's all about building from that experience for Kuzma. Fortunately, he has a teammate ready to push him to his limits so that he can play to his full potential.

Lakers second-year forward Brandon Ingram admitted to being hard on the 22-year-old, but for a good reason.

Training camp has already started, so it's not surprising that the team's veteran players are being tough on the newcomers. Also, with the NBA season less than a month now, the young Lakers certainly need all their players in the best condition for what could be a grueling 2017-18 campaign.

However, it's a great thing Ingram is keeping an eye on Kuzma, as it proves his high hopes for his new teammate.

Furthermore, it is also a good sign the former Duke standout is emerging as a leader for the purple and gold. Magic Johnson has previously said he expects Ingram to lead the team, and it seems like he is ready to take on that role and usher the franchise into a new era.
