With their fourth straight victory, the Los Angeles Lakers (15-27) really appear to be on a roll with an impressive 107-101 overtime victory against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday afternoon at American Airlines Center.

However, the young Los Angeles squad pulled off this win without the services of rising star forward Brandon Ingram. Lakers sideline reporter Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet originally broke the news of Ingram's ankle injury, who said he was moving around “gingerly” after a foul call late in the first quarter and was taken to the Lakers' locker room once the quarter was over.

Luckily, the Lakers appear to have dodged a bullet as Trudell later reported that X-rays came back negative on his mildly sprained left ankle. Ingram also said that he would also like to play on Monday when the Lakers travel to take on the Memphis Grizzlies, but time will have to tell to see how well the injury responds on Sunday.

The Lakers, who were down by 10 points almost midway through the fourth quarter, managed to rally to force overtime and simply got the job done on the road.

“We turned up our defensive intensity, got some stops and were able to get on a run,” head coach Luke Walton said after the game. “Then they made some tough shots and it was time to re-focus. We'd been in overtime games before, so let's take it possession by possession. You always believe in your team.”

Power forward Julius Randle put together a beast of an effort on Saturday afternoon en route to a double-double with a team-high 23 points, on 9-of-15 shooting, 15 rebounds, and two assists in 34 minutes of action.
