Los Angeles Lakers center Brook Lopez must just be cat-owner goals.

Lopez, who lives in one of the L.A. areas affected by the recent wildfires, was on his way to Charlotte for the second leg of the Lakers road trip. But he had to make sure his beloved cat was safe.

So he arranged for his cat to be transported to Fresno with his family, per Bill Oram of the Southern California News Group.

Lopez loaded Poupin, a 10-year-old Maine coon mix with an Instagram account, into his carrier and loaded him into the car, hired through a limousine service. Little did the driver know that his responsibilities would not be limited to delivering Lopez to the Lakers team plane.

Poupin needed to go to Fresno, where he could stay with Lopez’s mother and be out of harm’s way.

“I had a car service for my cat,” Lopez said.

This not only kind of hilarious, but also remarkably sweet. And if you've seen any of the cat owners out there on the internet, what Lopez did is exactly on par with what most cat lovers would do for their furry felines.

Lopez didn't even care how much the car service would cost to send his cat four hours away, per Oram.

“I didn’t ask,” Lopez said. “My financial guy is going to be mad at me. I wasn’t fiscally responsible.”

We should all be more like Lopez.
