LaVar Ball, the controversial father of Lonzo Ball, has been making a lot of headlines as of late. Not only has LaVar been going back and forth with president Donald Trump following the return of LiAngelo Ball after the incident in China, but now the CEO of Big Baller Brand has been taking shots at Luke Walton and the Los Angeles Lakers coaching staff for the handling of Lonzo.

Ball believes Walton and company have been too soft on his son in the early going of the 2017-18 NBA season. LaVar's comments have forced not only Walton to respond to the criticism, but his predecessor, Byron Scott, as well. Scott said the following about Ball's critical comments about Walton's coaching style, via TMZ Sports.

“Shut up,” Scott said. “Stay put. Stay on the sidelines. We got this. Now it seems like, obviously, he's trying to jockey for a coaching job. We just don't know where that's going either, so if I'm Luke, to me, it's laughable. If I'm Luke Walton. I'm sitting basically just laughing about it.”

As everyone has come to expect from LaVar at this point, the talking and bold statements will likely continue for many years to come in Los Angeles. Lonzo is less than 20 games into his rookie season with the Lakers, and LaVar has been on the news on a weekly basis while also having his own show on Facebook's Watch, “Ball In The Family.”

So not only has LaVar continued to be a controversial figure in and outside the world of sports, but this may only be just the beginning.
