The Los Angeles Lakers suffered another disappointing loss on Sunday after falling to the Chicago Bulls, 115-110. This was thanks in large part to DeMar DeRozan's heroics for Chicago, as he led the Bulls to a statement win against a struggling LA side.

After the game, Lakers vet Carmelo Anthony had nothing but praise for DeRozan and his huge performance. Melo pointed out how the Bulls star has emerged as one of the best midrange players in the NBA today:

“The fact that he utilizes the midrange. I know a lot of people want to discredit that part of the game, but I think that's a lost art. I think the midrange game is a lost art and DeMar is one of the guys who mastered that,” Anthony said, via Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation.

This is some high praise coming from Anthony, who himself possesses an elite midrange game. Melo has been in the league long enough to be able to recognize greatness in other players and it is clear in his statement here how highly he thinks of DeRozan.

The Bulls All-Star absolutely torched the Lakers on Sunday night, exploding for 38 points on 11-of-24 shooting. DeRozan also logged four rebounds, six assists, and a steal as he helped the Bulls secure a key victory against Anthony and the rest of the Purple & Gold.
