The Los Angeles Lakers saw their three-game win streak snapped by the Oklahoma City Thunder, the very team they lost to before it started.

In similar fashion as the last loss, the game ended with a testy flare-up in the closing seconds as Carmelo Anthony got into it with Lu Dort that brought all the players near center court.

Dort got the last laugh after that exchange, slipping by with an easy dunk that put the Lakers down four points with 17 seconds left on the game clock.

Carmelo Anthony was rightfully angry, as he did all he can to keep the Lakers in this one. Melo sank two threes in the game's final 40 seconds to keep the score close enough for a comeback that fell short. He finished the game with 21 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals while connecting on five triples in the evening.

The loss is a hugely disappointing one for the Lakers, who couldn't hold on to their 19-point lead from earlier in the contest. With LeBron James on the sidelines due to his abdominal strain and Russell Westbrook committing some costly mistakes to end the game, the purple and gold ended up taking the L on this one.

The Lakers will have to wait another month before they can get another shot at the OKC Thunder.
