Los Angeles Lakers star Carmelo Anthony is back in the lab as starts his offseason training ahead of the 2021-22 NBA season proudly wearing the Purple & Gold. The 37-year-old vet signed a one-year deal with the team this summer and is looking to add some firepower as he enters his 19th season in the NBA as one of the newest members of Laker Nation.

On Monday, Melo went straight to work as he put up some shots in LA's training facility and decided to treat Laker fans with his all-purple get-up. And, as always, Anthony was straight up getting buckets (via Los Angeles Lakers):

After his workout, Melo even had a special message to the fans which should have everyone hyped:

“What's up, Laker fans? You already know who it is. I'm back in the building,” Melo said. “Big shoutout to all the fans, all the Laker fans, Laker Nation, and all the Melo fans that's out there. It's going to be an exciting season but it starts now and it starts today and the work gotta be put in behind the scenes,”

Anthony is more than excited to reunite with his long-time buddy Lebron James since it will be the very first time in both their NBA careers that they'll be on the same team. Melo and LeBron have been competing since back in their high school days and to see them on the court together at the latter part of their career would indeed be something special.

Imagine if Carmelo Anthony wins his very first title in the NBA with the LA this season alongside LeBron James. One can dream, right?
