The long wait is over for the Los Angeles Lakers, as they finally clinched the championship in Game 6 on Sunday after a 10-year drought for the franchise. This was unlike any other title in the past, with this particular team winning the chip in an unprecedented bubble in the Disney World campus.

For their part, the folks at Disney commemorated L.A.'s triumph by lighting up the famed Cinderalla Castle at Magic Kingdom in the colors of the Purple & Gold. Disney also took to Instagram to send out their congratulations to the Lakers:

Here's a two-minute video showing the castle in all its glory:

The only thing missing here is an adoring crowd cheering on the Lakers for winning the title. This was obviously out of the question, with the bubble put in place specifically to keep out any and all outsiders away from the isolated location.

In his speech during the awarding ceremony, league commissioner Adam Silver thanked Disney and the thousands of employees that made the bubble such a success. Without the unwavering support of Disney, we would not have had a continuation to the season.

It remains to be seen if the 2020-21 campaign will still require some sort of bubble set up, but if that should be the case, then the wonderful work of the folks over at Disney World in Florida will serve as a prime example of how to properly execute a seemingly impossible task. Kudos to the Disney team, and of course, to all the employees in the bubble.
