Paul George had some words of encouragement for Danny Green ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers' Game 6 against the Miami Heat on Sunday.

George took to his Instagram story to show Green some love with a simple yet powerful message:

Danny Green has become a dangerous scapegoat for Lakers fans in the wake of a disappointing Game 5 loss. After missing a wide-open 3-pointer that could've sealed their victory and made them the 2020 NBA champions, both Green and his fiancee have began receiving death threats.

Paul George himself has dealt with a fair share of criticism via social media, primarily after being eliminated from the postseason. As passionate as sports can be, it should never be taken to the seriousness of wishing death on anyone.

The 33-year-old Lakers veteran responded to the death threats ahead of Game 6, taking a more progressive approach in dealing with the horrific threats.

“I hope they're that passionate about voting, or injustice for these people who deserve justice,” stated Green. “We'll get some better change in the country.”

Green hasn't been extremely productive throughout the playoffs. Prior to Sunday's game, he's only shot 25.8 percent from beyond the arc in the NBA Finals, with his highest scoring coming in Game 1 with 11 points. However, even before the often-criticized shot in Game 5, Green has been receiving massive criticisms from the Lakers fans for his inability to knock down game-changing shots.

He wasn't the only one that came under scrutiny, though, with forward Markieff Morris joining him after an ill-timed pass to Anthony Davis resulted in a turnover. The Lakers will definitely be looking to alter their game plan for Game 6, as they announced the starting of Alex Caruso in place of Dwight Howard.

Hopefully Caruso can provide the same spark that he gives off the bench. If so, the Purple and Gold will have a better chance at getting the lead early and maintaining it throughout the game.
