The Los Angeles Lakers just announced that forward Brandon Ingram will miss the rest of the season due to a Deep Venous Thrombosis in his arm. But while a lot of people are sending their well wishes to the former second overall pick, FOX Sports' Colin Cowherd saw things differently.

Cowherd saw Ingram's injury as a way for the Lakers to tank in a Twitter post that has now been deleted.

But Cowherd doesn't seem to be sorry for what he said.

For a veteran sportscaster, this seems to be very unethical for him to do. Not only is DVT career threatening, it's life threatening as well. Still, Colin Cowherd continues to look at the situation like it's more harm for the Lakers than Ingram.

The Lakers are about to miss the playoffs for the sixth straight season, and after reports came out that LeBron James will be under minutes restriction, the franchise seems to be looking forward into the offseason. Aside from Brandon Ingram, sophomore guard Lonzo Ball could also miss the rest of the season due to a deep bone bruise in his ankle.

Things didn't turn out the way Lakers fans wanted it to be, and now a potential cornerstone is dealing with a serious injury.

Ingram is averaging a career high 18.3 points while shooting 49.7 from the field, also a career high, to go along with 5.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

A DVT for an athlete in his 20s can definitely be treatable, especially if found in its early stages, which is the case for Ingram.
