Twenty-two NBA teams are preparing for the Orlando bubble, but only a handful are likely fully gearing up for the potential 80-100 day grind. Among the favorites to stay the full term in coronavirus-ridden Florida are the Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, and LA Clippers. Lakers guard Danny Green acknowledged the other favorites in the field.

Green recently joined ClutchPoints' Battle for LA Podcast with Tomer Azarly and Ryan Ward, where he discussed a number of topics, including his Lakers as well as the major competitors in the Bucks and Clippers.

“They’re very good,” Green said of the Bucks and Clippers. “Obviously, they have some MVP Caliber players with some All-Stars around them and a good support system around those guys. Milwaukee plays at a really good pace, really good shooters around Giannis [Antetokounmpo]. They play really good team basketball, and it starts with him.

“The Clippers are the same. PG [Paul George], Kawhi [Leonard], and they have some good guys. Pieces like Pat Bev, they got Marcus [Morris] over there, they picked up some good pieces. Got Trez [Montrezl Harrell] and Lou Will off the bench, they have a deep squad with a lot of talent.”

Danny Green also made sure not to forget some of the other teams playing great basketball leading up to the NBA's hiatus in March.

“You can’t forget the other teams that are contenders too,” Green added. “Teams that we had great matchups with like Boston in the East is pretty good. Toronto has been playing really good basketball, I guess Philly would be another one. In the West we still got Houston that’s been playing good basketball, Denver was. We’ll have to see who's roster is what and who's healthy. Who stays healthy and who [teams] bring who to the bubble. It’s a different dynamic now.”

When prompted for a specific team that can be considered a dark horse in the Western Conference, Green was quick to point out that both the Rockets and Nuggets are teams that seem to have been forgotten, but still present challenges.

“I would say Houston, but them operating the bubble might be tough,” Green joked. “We'll see how that goes for them. I think Denver is one of those teams. But I also don’t know whose full roster is coming, there’s a lot of guys opting not to go.”

Green makes great points in that every single team's situation is fluid when it comes to the day-to-day. The hope is that everyone sticks to the bubble as much as possible, takes every necessary precaution to avoid contracting the coronavirus, and stays healthy for the duration of their stay throughout the Orlando restart. Even then, that might not be enough.
