Veteran shooting guard Danny Green is in his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers and he's loving the experience thus far.

Green says living in beautiful Los Angeles and playing for the Lakers faithful are the perks of being a member of the Purple and Gold:

After Kawhi Leonard left the Toronto Raptors and signed with the Los Angeles Clippers, Danny Green could have joined the Dallas Mavericks instead of the Lakers.

However, the Lakers were able to get their guy. The franchise signed Green, who is a two-time NBA champion, to a two-year, $30 million deal in free agency last summer.

Before the NBA suspended the 2019-20 season due to COVID-19, Green was averaging 8.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists for the Lakers in 61 games. The 32-year-old was shooting 41.9 percent from the field, 37.8 percent from beyond the arc and 72.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Green and the Lakers had the best record in the Western Conference prior to the season getting suspended. Los Angeles, led by superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, was an impressive 49-14.

Green, who began his NBA career with the Cleveland Cavaliers where he was teammates with LeBron, has career NBA averages of 8.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 681 games with the Cavs, San Antonio Spurs, Raptors and Lakers.

Danny won his first championship with the Spurs back in 2014, when San Antonio defeated LeBron, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat in the Finals.
