As part of a recent appearance on “Take It There” with Taylor Rooks, Lakers swingman Danny Green made it clear that he loves the dynamic that has developed between his superstar teammates, LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

James joined the Lakers prior to the start of last season. However, a groin injury forced him to the sidelines for an extended period of time. As a result, the Lakers fell out of playoff contention.

Prior to the start of this campaign, the Lakers acquired Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans in what was one of the biggest deals of the offseason. Now, with a Western Conference-best 49-14 overall record and a potent chemistry brewing, Los Angeles was a clear Finals favorite before the suspension of the NBA season.

Some star-driven duos might struggle to find the synergy needed to perform at a championship level in the NBA, but Green says this is not the case with James and Davis:

“What is it like being on a team that has two all-around studs?,” Rooks asked Green during his appearance.

“I love it,” Green replied without hesitation. “They embrace each other. They're best of friends. They hang out together, but they also embrace us.”

Like Davis, Green has been a solid acquisition for the Lakers. The former second-round pick signed a two-year, $30 million contract with the Lakers back in July, leaving the Raptors after helping the team win its first championship in franchise history. In his 61 games played this season (all starts), the 32-year-old has racked up averages of 8.2 points on 41.9 percent shooting from the field (37.8 percent from beyond the arc), 3.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 steals in 25.1 minutes per outing.

Due to ongoing concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, the NBA announced last week that it would be suspending the 2019-20 regular season until health officials deem it's safe enough to resume play. At this point, it's not clear exactly when that might be.

For now, Lakers fans will have to wait to find out if their team has what it takes to claim a 17th NBA championship.
