Los Angeles Lakers sharpshooter Danny Green heaved one last shot before the NBA season resumes, asking his longtime girlfriend Blair Bashen to marry him over the weekend.
Like many of his long-range attempts, this was all net.
The veteran marksman took to Instagram to share a couple of photos from the proposal, along with a caption that would make most romantics melt:

Green was thankful and appreciative of his now-fiancée, as they embark on a new route in life.
The Lakers shooting guard noted he wasn't able to afford the ring Bashen deserved until recently, as he popped the question the day of their fifth anniversary. It seems Bashen was more than happy to accept his proposal.
The couple has been together since his days in San Antonio. Bashen, a Houston native, made the move to Toronto during Green's lone year there, and then to Los Angeles.
She took to Instagram as well to share the news of their engagement:
“To My Fiancé,
I’ve admired you as a friend for two years, I’ve loved you for half a decade as my boyfriend, and now I can’t believe you are my future husband!! I will continue to reminisce about the countless good times in our past, fully enjoy our present, and positively embrace our future. Happy 5 year anniversary to my FIANCÉ!! I will love you forever.”
It's only happily ever after for the two lovebirds as they await a new chapter in their lives, and now Green will look to go win another championship ring after putting a ring on Bashen's finger.
