New Los Angeles Lakers guard Danny Green revealed to the media that he was robbed in Vancouver while attending a youth basketball camp. The two time NBA champion shared how he and his friends had their car broken in to and bags stolen while they checked out the Airbnb they had reserved. Green and company lost plenty while touring the residence and then ended up on the streets of a sketchy neighborhood in Vancouver.

“We lost electronics, computers, laptops, some camp registry money, stuff like that…We walk up on it, this thing is the worst street in North America in terms of (drug use). We didn't know there was like a ghetto or hood in Vancouver.”

Unfortunately, Green wasn't able to recover his stolen goods, even after calling the police immediately after the robbery.

However, the former Toronto Raptor should have no problem replacing the lost items. He recently signed a two year, $30 million contract with the Lakers, which should cover some missing electronics.

As a new member of the Lakers, Green brings some veteran leadership, excellent perimeter defense, and deadly three-point shooting to a team that needs all three attributes badly. Green is expected to serve a key role on the team and will likely start.

Even though he's no longer in Vancouver, Green should still be on his toes in his new home, where robberies are not uncommon and happen at a 20 percent higher rate than average in the U.S. Thankfully, he'll be making enough to add some security for future trips.
