Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis has been battling a sore right shoulder all season, but has only missed one game.

On Tuesday against the Denver Nuggets, Davis was sick and could have sat out. However, he played and helped the Lakers defeat the Nuggets by putting up 25 points and 10 rebounds in 36 minutes.

Lakers shooting guard Danny Green has been impressed with Davis' desire to play through things this season, saying AD doesn't want to miss any games moving forward.

“He’s had reason to sit out, but he’s not sitting out of any games,” Green said, via Kyle Goon of the Orange County Register. “Now he wants to fight through everything. And he’s letting not just us know that he has our back, but he’s letting the league know that he’s not sitting out for any reason.”

The Lakers are 18-3 on the season. They are tied with the Milwaukee Bucks for the best record in the NBA.

Davis is averaging 26.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.7 blocks for the Purple and Gold. The six-time All-Star is shooting 48.0 percent from the field, 34.3 percent from beyond the arc and 86.1 percent from the free-throw line.

With Davis and LeBron James leading the charge, the Lakers have a legitimate chance of winning the championship this season.
