Vanderbilt guard Darius Garland says he hasn't been lobbying LeBron James to get drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers, adding that Kobe Bryant was his favorite player growing up.
Garland is part of the same sports agency as James, Klutch Sports. The Lakers have the fourth overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and could select Garland.

Garland only played in five games this college season because of a meniscus injury. He averaged 16.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 53.7 percent from the field, 47.8 percent from beyond the arc and 75.0 percent from the free-throw line.
The Lakers need more shooting around James and Garland fits that bill perfectly.

It seems like Garland would be a perfect fit for the Lakers. He's got the same agent as LeBron, while Kobe — the best player in Lakers franchise history — was his favorite hooper growing up. We'll see if the Purple and Gold pull the trigger on Garland on June 20.
The Lakers could select Garland and also trade him to the New Orleans Pelicans in a potential move for Anthony Davis. Los Angeles is widely expected to pursue a Davis trade again this summer after failing to acquire him at the February trade deadline.
The Lakers could offer the Pelicans the fourth overall pick, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma for AD, who is also represented by Klutch Sports.
