Los Angeles Lakers fans had high hopes when their team selected Lonzo Ball as the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. However, the 21-year-old point guard has yet to make a mark in the franchise, as he was slowed down injuries in his first two seasons with the Lakers.

But while some fans are already losing hope on Ball, Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox said that all is not lost for Ball.

During his appearance at Undisputed, Fox said that Ball will eventually get the chance to find his mark, especially if he remains healthy in the offseason to prepare for the 2019-20 NBA season.

Fox said that Ball is still growing like him, and adjusting to the NBA. And when he eventually gets the opportunity to fully prepare physically and mentally for a grueling season, Fox believes that Ball will soon become a great two-way player in the NBA. The Kings guard said that he expects improvement from Ball in offense.

“He's going to be a great two-way guy,” Fox said. ” He doesn't want to score. Everybody knows that. He doesn't want to score, but he had 30 in his second game in the NBA, so I think it shows that he’s a capable scorer. I think he's going to shoot the ball a lot better than he has.”

Ball made his presence felt on defense but failed to make significant contributions on the other end of the floor.

He was limited to 95 games in his first two seasons in the league, where he averaged 10.0 points on top of 6.4 assists and 6.2 rebounds per game.
