The Los Angeles Lakers took on the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday in a battle of two top-tier Western Conference teams. Only two games separate the Lakers from the Suns, who are right behind them at the no. 4 seed. During the game, Lakers point guard Dennis Schroder dusted off first-time All-Star Devin Booker not once, but twice before draining a step-back mid-range jumper in his face.

As you can see, Schroders' crafty dribbling and smooth handles were too much for Booker to take. Although admittedly, the feisty guard from Germany might have employed a teensy bit of a push-off to complete the final move. Still, it looked pretty.

Schroder is playing in his first season with the Purple and Gold after spending his first seven seasons with the Atlanta Hawks and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In the shortened season last year, he put up some of his best numbers, including 18.9 points per game on 46.9 percent field goal shooting and 38.5 percent from deep. All of those were career-highs and earned him serious contention for the Sixth Man of the Year plum.

Dennis Schroder has been very instrumental for the Lakers as a primary creator and he can produce highlights when he wants to. Just like he did on Tuesday against Devin Booker.
