Dr. Judy Seto is looking forward to working with Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James next season.

The team announced on Friday Seto will be the Lakers' Director of Sports Performance. She worked for the franchise from 2011-16.

Via the Lakers' press release, “Seto most recently served as Director of Sports Performance for Select Physical Therapy, where she developed, designed and implemented sports science concepts and technology to maximize athletic performance, minimize injury risk and facilitate timely return to competition. Returning to the Lakers after serving as the team’s head physical therapist from 2011-16, she has previously worked in physical therapy roles with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles-based HealthSouth and the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic.”

The Purple and Gold were an injury riddled team in 2018-19. James, Lonzo Ball, Rajon Rondo, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart all dealt with injuries, none more serious than the left groin injury LeBron suffered on Christmas Day against the Golden State Warriors. James missed 17 games in a row and the Lakers went just 6-11.

A long summer off could beneficial for James, who entered this season playing in eight straight NBA Finals. The star will turn 35 in December. We know The King is built like Superman, but James isn't immune to father time.
