Dwight Howard is back for his second go-around with the Los Angeles Lakers, and the big man is obviously hoping that this stint goes quite a bit better than his first back in 2012-13.

But Howard doesn't exactly have a great relationship with a couple of Lakers greats, as it's well-known that Howard is not all that well-liked by Shaquille O'Neal or former teammate Kobe Bryant.

O'Neal takes every opportunity to take shots at Howard, and it seems clear that Bryant is not a fan of him. Shaq even took a jab at Howard during the recent Shaq-Kobe “feud.”

Still, Howard doesn't seem to care about that, saying he is in LA to win above all else:

“My job is to come here and help this team win, it’s not to get into any arguments with Shaq or Kobe or anybody,” Howard said at his introductory press conference, per Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints. “I don’t plan to let anything distract me from helping this team win a championship.”

Of course, it might be tough for Howard, as Kobe Bryant is a very frequent presence around the Lakers. While Shaquille O'Neal isn't around all that much, you can bet he will still find room to knock Dwight whenever he gets the chance.

Hopefully, by this point of Howard's career, he has developed some thicker skin and is able to handle that type of external criticism.

The 33-year-old is also a far cry from the player he once was, as back injuries and a changing NBA landscape have torpedoed his overall impact. He played in just nine games for the Washington Wizards this past season before going down with a back issue, averaging 12.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
