There's no love lost between new Los Angeles Lakers recruit Dwight Howard and Golden State Warriors All-Star forward Draymond Green.

In a recent interview with NBA Insider Shams Charania of The Athletic, Howard did not hold back when he opened up about how he used to feel about Green. However, Dwight has now developed an appreciation for Draymond's game, and the 6-foot-11 big man also shared what he now loves about Green's game.

Howard played only nine games for the Washington Wizards last season, as he was forced to sit out the majority of the year due to injury. This allowed him to become a spectator of the sport, and as he mentioned, one of the things that stood out for him the most was the outstanding play of Green and what he does for the Warriors.

This is an interesting statement for Howard, as it gives us a preview of the type of mindset he currently has as he enters his 16th year in the league with his new team. He is no longer the dominant big man he once was, and perhaps he now has accepted that, like Green, his contributions for the Lakers must now go beyond what is displayed on the box score.

It's hard to ignore Howard's forgettable season with the Kobe Bryant-led Lakers back in the 2012-13 season, but that now appears to be water under the bridge at this point. Admittedly, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year has been in great shape this summer, as he looks to cement his role in L.A.'s lineup this coming season.
