Retired Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade doesn't mind being on the receiving end of one of the late Kobe Bryant's most memorable career highlights. In fact, he considers it an honor to share the floor and even guard the Los Angeles Lakers legend.

The Flash re-tweed a clip of the deceased Lakers great on Friday, commemorating the time he hit a ridiculous game-winning triple over the outstretched hands of Wade. It was exactly 11 years ago when the Black Mamba put on his cape and delivered a bank shot for the ages to give the Purple and Gold a buzzer-beating victory against the Miami Heat on December 4, 2009.

Dwyane Wade and Kobe Bryant were considered the two best shooting guards in the NBA around that time. The Heat visited the Lakers at Staples Center and figured in a classic back-and-forth affair between the team's two superstars. Wade and Bryant traded crucial baskets down the stretch, with the former's team getting the upper hand in the closing minutes. Bryant's trusted ally Derek Fisher came through with a clutch 3-pointer with 4.3 ticks left in regulation, trimming the lead to one.

Wade split his free-throws in the ensuing possession, setting the table for Bryant to once again add to his long list of game-winners. As we've seen time and time again, Bryant accepted the challenge and went all out against the younger Wade. He took off on one leg and threw an off-balance, fadeaway 3-pointer which hit the board before going into the hoop. The rest, as we now know it, was Lakers history.

Wade and Bryant, meanwhile, figured in plenty of heated match-ups over the course of their illustrious careers. The two first-ballot Hall of Famers eventually developed a friendship deeper than basketball and even learned from one another as teammates with the US National Team. It's a tragedy that Kobe is no longer with us physically. Still, his legacy will forever be celebrated by Wade and other people who knew him personally.
