Earlier in his career, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James locked horns with then-ESPN anchor Michelle Beadle. While he may never come to admit it, the word on the street is that LeBron tried to get Beadle fired from her post simply because he didn't like the things she was saying about him on TV. True enough, whether or not LeBron had any influence on the decision or not, Beadle moved on to NBC after just three years with ESPN.

In a recent episode of The Sessions podcast with Renee Paquette, Beadle relived her experience with the Lakers star. To this day, she is still adamant about LeBron trying to get her fired. The 46-year-old also revealed that James once slid into her DMs to confront her about her attitude:

“I made fun of The Decision, and I was one of about a bazillion people that did,” she said (h/t Daniel Chavkin of SI.com). “This was a long time ago, I guess when I followed him, and I got a DM that was, ‘Why are you so mean to me on television?’ And I just sort of laughed it off, I didn’t even think about it.”

According to Beadle, it wasn't only her who was targeted by LeBron. She revealed that other people in the media also experienced the same type of treatment from The King:

“Of course I took it personally, it was personal, he wanted me fired, he tried to do that,” she said of the Lakers star. “But then I found out after the fact, when all of this sort of came out, I would get messages or texts or videos from people being like, that kind of s*** was happening to them too. He was super petty and he would try to have some sort of an effect, whether it would be small or whatever, just an effect.”

Beadle had one final word about LeBron which just shows how there is still a lingering beef between herself and the Lakers star. After all, it's never going to be easy to forgive someone who wanted to get you fired from your job — especially if this said person won't even acknowledge it a decade later:

“I think he’s just a very successful, very wealthy man who still sweats dumb stuff, and it’s unfortunate because if I was him, I wouldn’t even hear the voices,” she added.
