The Los Angeles Lakers raced out to a 36-point lead on New Year's Day against the Phoenix Suns before holding on for a 117-107 victory, but forward Kyle Kuzma didn't have the best day at the office, at least when it comes to his new blonde look.

The third-year forward was roasted by fans, including one in particular who made a reference to Eminem's 2000 hit which features him in a similar golden brown crop look:

It's safe to say Kyle Kuzma was about 20 years late on this fad, and it wasn't only in-arena fans roasting him for his new look:

To add to it all, Kuzma hasn't had the best of seasons with the Lakers after being the last cut from Team USA (due to injury), missing the start of the season and now only putting up 12.2 points per game — well shy of the production he mustered during his first two years in the league.

Kuzma did have 19 points in the win against the Suns, but shot 5-of-15 from the floor and 3-of-10 from the 3-point line, so it wasn't the most efficient of performances.

Last week, Kuzma's trainer criticized LeBron James publicly, and some joked the dyeing of his hair was partly a punishment for his trainer's mouth.

Kyle Kuzma had gone with the blonde fro during his short stint with Team USA, but ultimately went back to his natural hair color. This rendition of it is clearly not making the waves he'd hope to make in 2020.
