Los Angeles Lakers head coach Frank Vogel has been so impressed with star forward LeBron James' defense.

Now that he's healthy again, James is playing stellar defense, something Vogel — a defense-minded coach — loves to see.

“(LeBron is) working really hard … I couldn’t be more impressed with his commitment on that end and his intent to set a tone with our group, which it’s done,” Vogel said, via Lakers.com. “Everybody is buying into that end. In every film session, every player is coached hard and held to a high level of accountability. And he’s just been unbelievable with his commitment on that end.”

The Lakers have above good defenders everywhere you look. The elite defenders on the roster are Anthony Davis, Dwight Howard, Avery Bradley and JaVale McGee, while Danny Green, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and LeBron are guys who play high-level defense as well, just not as consistently as Howard, Davis, Bradley and McGee.

In early September, Davis said he’s going to hold LeBron accountable on defense. James wasn’t his usual self on defense last season for the Lakers because of his groin injury.

Davis, who also said he wants to be Defensive Player of the Year this season, wants to make sure he does everything he can to help LeBron make an All-Defensive team with him, and so far it's working.
