Frank Vogel is now done as the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers. The news comes as no surprise, but is now expected to be made official.

The Lakers are reportedly set to inform him of the decision on Monday, according to a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojanrowski.

Frank Vogel has coached his final game for the Lakers, a decision that’s expected to be shared with him as soon as Monday, sources tell ESPN. Lakers’ search expected to be lengthy and expansive with no clear initial frontrunner.

No word yet on the list of candidates, but you better believe whoever gets the job has a lot of work ahead of him.

As long as LeBron James remains on the Lakers, the expectation for the season is to be able to contend for a championship. But turning the current roster into one with the necessary parts to compete next season may be a challenge that Rob Pelinka will find difficult to overcome.

With such highly-paid stars at the top in LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook, that leaves little wiggle room to add peripheral pieces. Trading Westbrook would probably result in giving an asset or two away in any scenario.

The next Lakers coach will definitely have his hands full.
