Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis wasn't feeling one hundred percent ahead of the team's clash against the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center on Tuesday.

However, it certainly didn't show. The Brow put up 25 points, 10 rebounds and one blocked shot in 35 minutes, leading the Lakers to a 105-96 win despite having flu-like symptoms.

Davis, who also made three crucial defensive stops for the Lakers down the stretch, was so dehydrated that he had to take IV fluids at halftime. This was confirmed by LA's head coach himself, Frank Vogel.

Davis didn't have to shoulder the load alone against the Nuggets, as his partner in crime LeBron James also came up with a solid outing of 25 points, six rebounds and nine assists. Veterans Dwight Howard and Rajon Rondo also pitched in, adding 13 and 11 markers respectively.

Promising that they won't lose back-to-back games, Davis and company managed to bounce back nicely after seeing their 10-game winning streak snapped by the Dallas Mavericks in their previous match.

Davis, meanwhile, has only missed one-game for the Lakers so far and has emerged as the early frontrunner for the Defensive Player of the Year award. He is second in the league in blocks per game (2.7) behind Orlando Magic big man Jonathan Isaac.

AD also leads the team in scoring (26.1) and rebounding (9.3).

Davis' own “flu game” does not hold the same weight as Michael Jordan's, but it still was a pretty impressive feat considering they were up against the number two team in the West. With the win, the Lakers have once again tied the Milwaukee Bucks for the best record in the league at 18-3.
