The Los Angeles Lakers are hopeful to strike gold as they pursue both LeBron James and Paul George in free agency this summer. While the odds re favoring the Lakers, teams like the Houston Rockets, Philadelphia 76ers, and Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to have legitimate shots at James this summer.

NBA great Gary Payton joined Black Sports Online's Sheena Marie that James' son, LeBron Jr., is already enrolled and committed to playing basketball at Sierra Canyon High School. For those not familiar with the area, the school is located in Chatsworth, California, approximately one hour from the house James purchased in Brentwood and about an hour and a half from Staples Center.

Payton added that he thinks James will make his decision best on what he feels is best for his family and makes them the most comfortable. If James' son is indeed going to attend Sierra Canyon, it would make sense for him to play close to his son to be able to witness his games and be a father in an important time in Bronny's life.

In addition, Scottie Pippen and Kenyon Martin both have sons attending a talent-loaded Sierra Canyon High School, which just won the 2018 Open Division City Championship as well as the Open Division State Championship.

All of this, however, is not circumstantial. These rumors about where James' sons are enrolled in school have been going around for over a year now, and his family could just as easily want to stay in Akron, Ohio, a place they've called home for most of their time.
