On Sunday, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James lifted his fourth Bill Russel trophy as he was given yet another NBA Finals MVP nod after his terrific six-game masterclass against the Miami Heat. Though a lot of people weighed in on possibly awarding the trophy to Anthony Davis after a strong start to his NBA Finals debut, it seemed that at the end of this series, the race wasn't really that close.

Both Marc J. Spears of ESPN and Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports tweeted out after the awarding that James was actually the unanimous winner of the NBA Finals MVP award after receiving all 11 votes from a media panel selected by the league.

James was the barometer for this Lakers unit and was more than impressive even in the two games they dropped against the Heat. The 35-year old capped off his tenth Finals appearance with another one of his all-around performances with a 28-point, 14-rebound, and 10-assist evening. He now leads the league in triple-doubles in the Finals with a total of 11 under his name.

For his part, Davis had himself quite an NBA Finals debut. The 27-year old had a blistering start against the Heat and dropped 66 points in the first two games. Miami made their adjustments though on the Lakers big man which eventually limited Davis' production. Still, Davis was able to manage to end up with averaging 25 points per game and added 10.7 rebounds with a couple of blocks. Not bad for his first trip to the Finals.

Job well done for these two as they're slowly etching their names as one of the best duos to ever play for this legendary franchise.
