Nike, unfortunately, messed up the Kobe Bryant signature sneaker release and now resellers are profiting off of Bryant's tragic death.

Per Harrison Faigen of SB Nation, the SNKRS app was hacked by bots who are trying to sell Bryant's shoes and jerseys for a lot more than they are worth:

That’s all well and good, but you know who their current system does allow to profit from the gross hype orgy around Bryant’s demise? Resellers with bots, who are already flooding the resale market with the stuff fans were trying to secure on Sunday and Monday at disgustingly inflated prices.

The re-release of Bryant’s jersey in the Black Mamba colorway was supposed to retail for $120. Here is how much resellers are trying to gauge desperate fans for it after swiping it due to Nike’s ridiculous product drop system.

This is certainly not how Nike wanted to celebrate Kobe Bryant and his lasting legacy. Hopefully, the company is able to fix this issue and prevent people from making money off of Bryant's death.

The tragic passing of Bryant still doesn't seem real even though it took place in January. His birthday on Sunday saw numerous celebrities wish the late Bryant a happy birthday, along with his wife Vanessa posting a beautiful note on social media.

Nike owes it to the Bryant family to address this issue. People can't be making money off of Kobe Bryant's passing.
