Rapper and BIG3 founder Ice Cube expects the Los Angeles Lakers to win back-to-back championships in LeBron James' last two years with the team.

Ice Cube wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers win the title next season, but he ultimately thinks it's going to be a “mesh year” where everyone figures out how to play with each other.

James signed a four-year deal with the Lakers last summer.

“I’m excited about this season with A.D., LeBron, Kuzma and everyone they got,” Cube said, via Arash Markazi of the Los Angeles Times. “I think this could ultimately be a mesh year where they figure out how to play with each other. I think we’re going to go deep into the playoffs but if they don’t win it this year I’m not going to be upset. I expect to win back-to-back championships in LeBron’s last two years.”

With Anthony Davis next to LeBron James, the Lakers have a legitimate chance to win it all next season. However, Los Angeles has to win the West first, and the conference is going to be a bloodbath.

The Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors, Utah Jazz and Denver Nuggets are considered title contenders as well. NBA fans are hoping the Clippers and Lakers meet in the 2020 Western Conference Finals, as a battle for Los Angeles and West supremacy would be fun to watch.
