If his social media activities are any indication, it looks like Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is backing the Brooklyn Nets.

While it's normal for LeBron to be active on social media and comment on the things he sees in the playoffs now that the Lakers are out, his apparent support for the Nets is becoming quite clear. Looking at his recent Twitter posts, most of the tweets he made about the playoffs involve Brooklyn.

Sure, it could have been just LeBron reacting, but the fact that he's not commenting on the big plays and moments from other teams–say Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns reaching the West Finals, or Kawhi Leonard's recent monster dunk–it's hard not to notice his actions.

It first started when the Lakers forward sent his prayers for James Harden after the star guard sustained a hamstring injury in Game 1 of the series against the Milwaukee Bucks. It was then followed by a couple of tweets about Kevin Durant and Bruce Brown.

During Game 4 of the Nets-Bucks series, LeBron James had a rather NSFW reaction when Kyrie Irving went down with an ankle injury.

Then on Game 5 after witnessing Durant's epic 49-point triple-double to become the first player in league history with a 45/15/10 stat line in the postseason, James called everyone to appreciate the “greatness” they have just witnessed.

Sure, we may be reading too much behind lines here. However, it is worth noting that in the middle of those tweets, LeBron only  posted about his message for Lonzo Ball (which sparked trade rumors as usual), his reaction to Chad Johnson's boxing fight and the Floyd Mayweather-Logan Paul showdown, as well as other promotions for “Space Jam 2” and his foundation.

Put simply, he's not talking about any team on his Twitter aside from the Nets.

Looking at his Instagram stories, there is the occasional congratulatory messages, like what he did with Ben Simmons when he was selected to the All-Defensive team. But that's basically it.

There's no other team that the Lakers star has been more enamored than the Nets.

Whether he is not-so-secretly rooting for the Nets or planting the seeds of recruitment (which is probably what other fans are thinking), it's safe to assume LeBron James will keep an eye on Brooklyn as they move forward.

But hey, there's nothing wrong about what LeBron is doing. Like the rest of us, he is just enjoying some great quality basketball. However, as one of the most influential athletes today, every word he says–in this case, every tweet he sends–will make news and headlines no matter how simple it is.
