Former NBA guard and current ESPN analyst Jalen Rose is picking the Los Angeles Lakers to win it all this season.

Rose liked what he saw from the Lakers in their preseason opener against the Golden State Warriors. LeBron James and Anthony Davis were unstoppable, a trend Rose sees happening all season.

Davis put up 22 points and 10 rebounds against the Warriors in 18 minutes while shooting 9-of-16 from the field. LeBron, meanwhile, scored 15 points and also dished out eight assists while shooting 5-of-10 from the floor.

James and Davis are two of the top-five players in the NBA. The Lakers are hoping the two superstars can bring banner number 17 to the franchise in 2019-20.

Michael Jordan has the best player efficiency rating in NBA history at 27.91. James is second at 27.59 and Davis is third at 27.42. So essentially, the Lakers have two of the most efficient scorers in NBA history on their roster.

LeBron averaged 27.4 points, 8.5 rebounds and 8.3 assists in 55 games last season while shooting 51.0 percent from the field, 33.9 percent from beyond the arc and 66.5 percent from the free-throw line. The four-time MVP missed 17 consecutive games due to a groin injury he suffered on Christmas against the Warriors.

For the New Orleans Pelicans in 2018-19, Davis put up 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.4 blocks in 56 games. The six-time All-Star shot 51.7 percent from the floor, 33.1 percent from the 3-point line and 79.4 percent from the charity stripe.

It’s going to be a lot of fun to watch LeBron and Davis play together this season. Lakers fans are hoping Jalen Rose's prediction comes to fruition.
