The Nuggets guard became the object of Laker Nation's desires after a simple Twitter interaction with a LeBron James stan account. The tweet was in response to Murray's take on Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns' Game 1 win in the NBA Finals.

Jamal Murray to LA, confirmed? Probably not. But Lakers fans are free to dream about it anyways. Jamal Murray could possibly be intentionally trolling fans and having himself a little offseason fun. Others suspected that perhaps the Nuggets guard only read half the tweet and missed out on reading the βjoin the Lakers this summerβ bit.

But Nuggets fans weren't particularly pleased with Jamal Murray liking the tweet, whether by accident or a blatant troll job. After missing him during their 2021 postseason run, the last thing they'd want would be to see Jamal Murray in a Lakers uniform.
