Los Angeles Lakers veteran small forward Jared Dudley believes the 2019-20 NBA season will resume at some point.

Dudley says he has a source which told him the NBA has no problem resuming the season in the summer:

“What I do know, and this is through stuff we’ve had — it’s on the table that the owners want to finish the regular season and [playoffs],” Dudley told Arizona Sports’ Burns & Gambo Thursday.

“I got confirmation that they have no problem going late into the summer to finish it up.”

The NBA suspended the season on Wednesday after Utah Jazz All-Star center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus. Jazz All-Star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell has it as well.

Dudley and the Lakers have the best record in the Western Conference. The Lakers are one of the front runners to win the 2020 NBA title. So, it makes sense that the team is reportedly itching to get the season started again.

Dudley has appeared in 40 games for the Lakers this season. He's averaging 1.5 points in 7.8 minutes per game. The Lakers are 49-14 on the season. They are coming off two impressive wins over the Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Clippers.

However, the Lakers' last game saw the team take a loss to the hands of the Brooklyn Nets at home.
