Jared Dudley is ready to risk it all for the Los Angeles Lakers, especially for his superstar teammates LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

The 12-year journeyman sat down with Spectrum SportsNet during media day and said that he's willing to do whatever he's asked to do for his new team. He even joked he's willing to pay the $20,000 fine if anyone ever touches up LeBron or AD, though he later retracted as he only has a minimum contract on his books.

The Lakers are lucky to land a veteran who knows and accepts his role on the team. Many players around the league respect Dudley for what he brings to the table, even though he's not the most gifted, skillful, or even athletic guy in the NBA.

Obviously, Dudley won't see heavy minutes for the Lakers. He might not even see the floor too often. However, it appears like he's well aware of that.

Still, the 34-year old will bring some toughness, defense and perimeter shooting for the Lakers in limited action off the bench. More importantly, he will provide them with a great presence in the locker room. Every NBA team needs those kinds of veterans on their squad.

This is probably the reason why Dudley remains employed in the NBA.
