Jared Dudley believes Kyle Kuzma is the key for the Los Angeles Lakers when it comes to having a successful 2019-20 season.

We already know what to expect from LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The two superstars are going to put up tremendous numbers every night. A case can be made Kuzma is the third-best player on the Lakers since we don't know what version of DeMarcus Cousins we are going to see on a nightly basis.

For the Lakers to be successful, Dudley thinks Kuzma has to take the next step in his development:

This past season, Kyle Kuzma averaged 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists while shooting 45.6 percent from the field, 30.3 percent from beyond the arc and 75.2 percent from the free-throw line. Kuzma was the only youngster on the Lakers who survived the Anthony Davis trade with the New Orleans Pelicans, as Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart were all sent to New Orleans.

Kuzma has shown in his first two seasons in the NBA he can be a 20-point scorer. Now, the 23-year-old just has to be more consistent and efficient. Ideally, the Lakers would like Kuzma to shoot around 35 percent from the 3-point line. LeBron and AD are going to command so much attention when they put their heads down and drive to the basket. Kuzma and the rest of the Lakers have to be ready to knock down open shots from the perimeter.

Jared Dudley is a career 39.2 percent shooter from deep. He's going to stretch the floor well for the Lakers and will be a good locker room guy as well.
