Los Angeles Lakers forward Jared Dudley seems to be in a giving mood this offseason. The former Boston College standout is promising to buy a home game ticket for any fan who purchases his jersey at the Lakers' team shop.

Dudley took some time to answer some of the questions his Twitter followers had about this intriguing offer:

Dudley also noted that he would give more details with regards to his offer when he returns to L.A. after Labor Day:

The Lakers signed Dudley to a one-year, $2.6 million deal on July 7. The 34-year-old spent the 2018-19 NBA season with the Brooklyn Nets, racking up averages of 4.9 points on 42.3 percent shooting from the field (35.1 percent from beyond the arc), 2.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 20.7 minutes per outing.

“The pitch was basically having another veteran presence in the locker room, a guy (with) a pretty good basketball IQ going into my 13th season, and then, another shooter,” Dudley told NBA.com shortly after joining the Lakers. “Any time you have those two dominant players, you’re going to need spacing and shooting, and any time you have guys that can think on the fly and have had playoff experience, I think I can help any roster.”

Though he's not the flashiest of players, Dudley should provide the Lakers with veteran leadership. After all, he's spent 12 seasons in the NBA and played for six different teams over the course of his career.

One player that Dudley is particularly excited to work with in Los Angeles is Kyle Kuzma:

“Over my last four or five years I’ve been on mostly younger teams, so I’ve done a pretty good job of helping develop the youth when it comes to Giannis (Antetokounmpo),” Dudley told NBA.com. “I actually started over him, and told (then Bucks head coach) Jason Kidd – who’s one of our assistant coaches – to start him over me. Devin Booker, John Wall … and then this year D’Angelo Russell. My primary for me would be Kyle Kuzma. We play the same position, have the same agent, I see so much potential in him and a guy that we’re going to need to reach our goal.”

Many experts and analysts feel that the Lakers will be a top contender in the Western Conference this season. With LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the charge, Los Angeles will have their sights set on postseason contention.
