Jared Kushner, the Senior Advisor to the President of the United States, is planning to reach out to Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, who has been outspoken throughout the Black Lives Matter movement.

“Look, I do think that peaceful protest has a place and it has importance,” Kushner said, via ESPN. “But I do think that what we need to do right now is make sure that we take the anger that people have and we have to move from slogans to constructive solutions.”

Three NBA playoff games were postponed on Wednesday night. Players from the league met and decided to boycott in an effort to raise awareness for Jacob Blake, an unarmed black man who was shot multiple times in his backside by Kenosha, Wiscons police officers over the weekend.

Following the postponing of Wednesday's games, Kushner made a shrewd remark towards NBA players, noting that they were “very fortunate” to be in a financial position to “take a night off from work.”

Like many other NBA players, LeBron James is calling for real change with regards to social injustice. The three-time champion sent out a fiery tweet after learning of Blake's shooting:

James sent out another tweet after players and coaches met on Thursday morning to vote on whether or not to resume play. The group decided to keep the season going, but Thursday night's games will still be postponed.

James feels that talking in meetings isn't enough to enact change in social injustices. He called on everyone to vote in the upcoming election:

James and the Lakers are scheduled to face the Portland Trail Blazers for Game 5 on Friday night, but it's not clear if play will resume by then. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the season could resume as early as Friday, but it might not be until sometime this weekend.
