Los Angeles Lakers big man JaVale McGee is coming off a successful championship run in the 2020 NBA Playoffs and recently copped the third ring of his career. The big man has been making real estate moves too. He recently sold his Encino home of five years for $2.49 million, according to Yahoo Sports.

His recent sale earned him a profit of $70,000. He previously bought the Mediterranean-style retreat from Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Marc Anthony for $2.42 million back in 2015.

The secluded property is tucked behind two sets of gates and centers on a three-story home which measures nearly 6,300 square feet. Palm trees and string lights top a resort-style space with a swimming pool, spa, gazebo, shower room and cabana with a bar.

Some speculate that this could be indicative of him potentially leaving the Purple and Gold in the upcoming offseason. The Los Angeles Lakers and McGee came to terms on a two-year, $8.2 million contract back in 2019. He currently has a $4.2 million player option for the 2020-2021 NBA season and could also be put on the trading block by the team in the future.

He finished the 2019-2020 season with norms of 6.6 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, and 1.4 blocks per game. He started 11 games in the 2020 NBA Playoffs, helping the Lakers win its 17th title in franchise history. It was McGee’s third championship after winning two with the Golden State Warriors back in 2017 and 2018.

Seeing his role in the team's championship aspirations, the Lakers faithful are hoping that they will still see Javale McGee don the Purple and Gold next season.
