Space Jam 2 officially hit theatres on Friday and received a mixed bag of reviews across the board. Some people loved Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James' debut on the big screen, while others thought the sequel was a disappointment.

Meanwhile, Lakers president Jeanie Buss of course went to watch Space Jam 2 and gave her take on what she thought of the movie:

Space Jam 2 is actually on track to beat Black Widow in its opening at $35 million in box office sales. Not bad at all for a family movie. The main intrigue is seeing LeBron act which is a much different profession for him than his full-time gig of playing for the Lakers.

Buss had nothing but support for the movie, stating that it gave her a good laugh and passed along some heartwarming messages. LeBron himself even had a message for all the haters on Saturday morning after this article was released discussing the immediate success of the film:

The Lakers veteran has certainly been keeping busy since the team was shockingly knocked out in the first round of the NBA Playoffs by the Phoenix Suns. James has thrown several Space Jam 2 release parties prior to Friday's debut.

As for Jeanie Buss, she will also be busy this offseason as the Lakers front office looks to strengthen the roster around LeBron and Anthony Davis in their pursuit of an NBA title next season.
