Jeanie Buss, the controlling owner and president of the Los Angeles Lakers, knows a thing or two about the art of trolling. Buss showed that side of her recently when she posted a reaction to a post by Bleacher Report which features a short video of Kyle Kuzma telling the story of his struggle to gain attention and respect prior to becoming one of the best young studs in the NBA.

Jeanie Buss sure made it a point that she was not, in any way, trying to recruit Kyle Kuzma because, well, he is already playing for the Lakers. Wow, what will she do next we wonder. Will Buss also try to plant a big sign in front of her house that says “I am not squatting here. I own this place”?

Of course, this was just Buss’ way of messing with the NBA’s office. For the uninitiated, the NBA demanded the Lakers to pay a hefty $50,000 fine last February over Magic Johnson’s comments about Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, which the league deemed as a form of tampering. Magic was merely praising Giannis during an interview with Nick Friedell of ESPN, but the NBA still interpreted it as an illegal way of gaining a player’s attention.

It’s good to see Buss having fun, though, despite the fact that the Lakers have missed the boat to the playoffs for the fifth straight season. The last time Lakers made it to the playoffs, Kuzma was a year away from attending Utah in college.

In any case, the Lakers have a young core Buss could look forward to bringing success to Tinseltown in the near future.
