Former Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls head coach Phil Jackson turned 76-years-old on Friday and surely received lots of birthday messages from former players and colleagues. One of them was current Lakers president Jeanie Buss, who sent Jackson a heartfelt message on social media. Take a look:

Buss, the daughter of Jerry Buss who passed away in 2013, was still around the Lakers when Jackson was in charge for a total of 11 seasons from 1999-2004, then 2005-2011. He's arguably the greatest coach in franchise history, leading the team to five NBA titles during that span.

Jackson's success started before coming to LA though, where his Michael Jordan-led Bulls won six championships in an eight-year span. After leaving Chicago, it only took one season for Jackson to take the Lakers to the promised land.

He's one of the most winningest coaches the league has ever seen, but it does help that he had two legends in MJ and Kobe Bryant starring on a nightly basis. Jackson isn't directly involved with any teams anymore, but his heart with always be close to both the Lakers and Bulls.

Clearly, he has all of Jeanie Buss' respect. Happy Birthday Phil. You're a legend across the league to this day.
