After taking an early lead against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, the Los Angeles Lakers found themselves trailing big at the half, 72-59, after being outscored 40-21 in the second quarter.

During the break, in what appeared to be a subtle reaction to the Lakers' mediocre play, team president Jeanie Buss tweeted out a song request to be played at the Staples Center.

Unfortunately, the Lakers’ struggles continued in the second half and they ended up losing, 121-114, for their third straight defeat. It was also their second straight loss since All-Star forward LeBron James returned to the lineup. Pascal Siakam and Kyle Lowry scored 39 and 37 points, respectively to lead the depleted Raptors playing without Fred VanVleet, OG Anunoby, Chris Boucher, and Gary Trent Jr.

Buss’ song choice could indicate that she wasn’t bothered by the Lakers’ halftime deficit, especially with LeBron returning from injury. After all, the Purple and Gold also had their struggles in the regular season last year, but still ended up winning the team's first title in a decade.

It, however, could also simply mean that Buss is a fan of Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber. Maybe it's as innocent as that. Maybe she simply wanted to hear “I Don't Care” being blasted at Staples Center, which has already welcomed back fans into the stands.

The Lakers, however, should care about the loss to the Raptors. The defeat gave them a 36-28 record, putting them into a tie with the Dallas Mavericks and the Portland Trail Blazers for fifth to seventh place in the Western Conference. Buss will be watching them again when they host the Denver Nuggets on Monday as they look to avoid a fourth straight loss.
