Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss is not planning to wait another year for his team to bloom. Next year, the daughter of legend Dr. Jerry Buss wants his team to make it to the NBA playoffs.

As reported by Tania Ganguli of the Los Angles Times, Buss expressed confidence in Magic Johnson, president of basketball operations, and general manager Rob Pelinka with their job in building a championship contender team in Los Angeles. She simply wants the Lakers to make it to the playoffs next season.

While her statements are pretty much direct to the point, not too long ago, Buss sent out cryptic tweets, hinting at a possibility of landing some big deals this offseason.

A few weeks ago, Buss tweeted the following which left a lot of people guessing.

Fans were quick to carve up their own interpretations. Many believe that tweet meant Buss had secured LeBron James or Paul George or maybe even both. If not James or George, perhaps they have something else up their sleeve.

While she hasn't commented about the tweet, it is important to recall that the Lakers are readily capable of luring in the best superstars in the league. They have done it in the past. And given Buss' recent comments, the Lakers are not planning to wait any longer. They want to go back to the playoffs as soon as possible.
