Jordan Clarkson became the first Los Angeles Lakers player to record a 25-point, 10-assist game off the bench since franchise legend Magic Johnson did so against the Dallas Mavericks on Feb. 16, 1996, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

The Lakers' sixth man continued his scoring assault, dropping a game-high 29 points and 10 assists — building off the 33-point, seven-rebound, seven-assist outing against the Indiana Pacers on Friday.

Clarkson has been on fire the last two games, as starter Lonzo Ball has missed the last four games due to injury — making the most of his extended time on the court. He had also tied Johnson with his 30-7-7 line, bringing memories from nearly 22 years ago, when the Lakers icon made his living off the bench before announcing his eventual retirement from the game.

The Missouri standout was once again sharp with his jumper, burying 12 of his 19 attempts from the floor and completing his double-double with six rebounds and three steals, turning the ball over just once in his game-high 38-minute stint on the floor.

Clarkson has been in the midst of trade rumors, and if he is indeed moved by the Lakers — it is performances such as this that could help his stock skyrocket when teams come calling the likes of Rob Pelinka and the now-president Johnson before the trade deadline.

The Lakers have now won two straight, thanks to the spark plug's high-octane performances and ability to keep the foot on the accelerator as soon as his name is called by head coach Luke Walton.
